Koko Sey

About us

Born from a grandmother's garden in Seychelles.

The founder

Maria Stevens & a grandmother's way of life.

Founded in August 2021 by Maria Stevens, alongside her husband Mark, Koko Sey began as a home cottage venture with the support of her family — inspired by the self-sufficient, natural lifestyle of Maria's grandmother.

Today it has grown into a small-scale, expanding factory enterprise, designed to reduce reliance on heavily processed imports and to celebrate our local agricultural ecosystem — turning an abundance of homegrown tropical fruits and plants into high-value health products.

Handmade, batch by batch

Picked, dried and packed by hand.

Every leaf of our breadfruit tea is sorted by hand before it is sealed into a biodegradable tube. Every bottle and blend represents a partnership with local farmers — by choosing Koko Sey, you support sustainable island agriculture and a healthier community.

Seychelles roots

115 islands. One generous land.

The breadfruit — friyapen in Kreol — is a symbol of Seychelles: they say whoever eats it will always return. We dry and mill it into a naturally gluten-free flour, and steep its leaves with lemongrass into a calming tea.

Our products are organic, locally sourced and produced, with no additives or preservatives. Non-GMO, gluten free, and suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
